I am a true by-product of the '80s. The MTV generation, if you will. This picture brings back so many different memories for me. Every time my dad makes pancakes, ever since I was a very little girl, he always makes me the first two silver-dollar sized. He still does this to this very day when I visit them. It's because I am the baby of course (and the favorite child...lol!!). The T-shirt is the epitome of me in the '80s. I was never the Madonna/Cyndi Lauper look-alike. I was the Big Hair Band lover. RATT was my first real rock concert and I lived in that T-shirt for weeks after I saw them. I know this picture was taken on a Sunday, because the comics are laying there waiting for me to read them while I eat my pancakes. I was probably about 14 or 15 here. Great memories!! Here is one more from the 80s which almost contradicts the one above. Just goes to show, you can never judge a book by its cover.
I was on the junior varsity squad for wrestling and basketball. I remember the photographer had wanted me to be doing the splits here, but I couldn't because I had just had surgery to have my appendix removed. It's hard to believe that at one point in time, I COULD do the splits. :D I was never very good at the cartwheels though.
