R.I.P. Daniel....maybe.

Sawyer: "Is he still crazy?" Miles: "He's on a whole new level."

So, young Daniel can play the piano....and he plays it very well. However, evil "mum" says he must instead learn math, science, physics and all that other crap. Hmmm.....physics or chopsticks??? I'd take chopsticks any day of the week, thank you!! Poor Dan....just another member of LOST who has major parent issues.

Speaking of which.....Widmore is Daniel's dear old dad. So not only did "mum" send him to the island to meet his fate, but good ole' Charles sent him packing there too. Also, this scene solidified the fact that Charles did, in fact, plant the fake plane crash. The question I have with all of this is, why is Daniel having memory issues? Did he experiment with time travel and is having effects from it, like Desmond?? It seems this might be the case as he mentions trying the experiment on himself before trying it on his girlfriend/research assistant. In any case, Widmore and Ellie must have, at one time at least, loved each other enough to create Daniel. So many unanswered questions!!!

So, Daniel is trying to do what he previously said could not be done, which is change the past. He tells Chang that he is from the future, but we never get to see Chang's reaction to this or if he believed Daniel. However, in the preview for next week, it seems that people are being taken to the sub which makes me think that Chang did, to some degree, believe him and is in fact evacuating everyone off the island....but will they actually make it off???

Radzinsky Season 5 = Keamy Season 4. I can't stand Radzinsky. He is definitely the evil, Keamy-like character this season. Where is Sayid and his a$$-kicking skills when you need him??

Penny and Desmond are still my absolute favorite couple on this show. Thank you, LOST writers, for not letting Desmond die (at least for now). "I told ya Pen, I'll never leave ya again." {sigh}

This scene was so sweet....though a little creepy. Strange older man, talking to a pretty little girl whom he is in love with. Watch out Dan, Dharma Child Services may be watching you. Although, this is the whole reason Daniel is in fact trying to change things, so he can somehow save Charlotte. But how can he when.........

.....he's dead. Killed by his own mother. This scene was heartbreaking to see. Poor Dan, realizing only at the moment of his death, that his mother sent him to the island to die. Of course, there is still hope. They are, after all, on the island....which heals people.....saves people....resurects people. Maybe Daniel isn't gone just yet. Will this make his mom rethink the choices she has made?? I believe so. In the preview for next week, we see her helping Jack with Daniel's diary in hand, and she knows where the hydrogen bomb is. Maybe the past will, in fact, be changed. We will see.

Next week we start the season finale episodes. Next week's episode is Follow The Leader, whom it seems at long last is none other than John Locke. It's going to be an awesome 2 weeks!!! Can't wait, but then maybe I can since I will be having LOST withdrawal until next season. {tear}

For Shannon

Apparently, the president thinks it is necessary to give an address tonight before LOST. (Hmmm...he must not be a fan.) This could cause LOST to go over it's scheduled DVR/TIVO time, so be sure to set them up so you don't miss anything!! :D I hear the last few minutes are REALLY important.....but when aren't they on this show?? Here is a sneek peek of tonight's 100th episode!!

Lost without LOST.

I figured since there was no new LOST to blog about this week :( I would post a few of the promo pics for next week's episode, The Variable. This will be a Daniel-centric episode and should give us lots of answers about what Daniel's been up to.

Looks like Penny managed to get Desmond to the hospital, but what is Eloise doing there?? Hmmm...what could her and Penny possibly have to talk about?

A little-know fact about LOST....in the past, the producers have been known to put characters in red shirts when they were going to die in a particular episode (or finale). This is something they adopted from Star Trek. If that is still the case, the next few pics could mean doom for a couple of our Losties.

Girls, girls, girls.

I went to my friend's daughter's birthday party over the weekend. It was a beautiful, sunny day and 81 degrees. The girls had a water balloon fight and then my friend Karin sprayed them all with the hose.

Catching up.

I can't believe I have been so blog negligent lately. I didn't even post a LOST update last week!!! WHAT??? Work has been crazy and I am trying to get all the work and planning done for my chicken wing contest that is coming up on May 2. I can't wait. It will be so much fun, but lots of work too!! Here are some 365 catch up pics.

Colored pencil look in PS.

My daughter ran the car into a wire garden fence. The scratches go all the way to the front bumper. Looks like it was keyed. Another reason I've been blog negligent. :D

Still smiling through it all. :D

Happy Easter!

All lined up and ready to go!

Remnants of color.

Azaleas.

Dogwood blossom.

The Story Of The Dogwood Tree

Long ago during the days that Jesus was here on earth in the form of man, there were many dogwood trees. The dogwood was comparable in size to the oak tree and other monarchs of the forest. Because of its firmness and strength it was selected as the timber for the cross, but to be put to such a cruel use greatly distressed the tree.

Sensing this, the crucified Jesus in his gentle pity for the sorrow and suffering of all said to it: "Because of your sorrow and pity for My sufferings, never again will the dogwood tree grow large enough to be used as a cross. Henceforth it will be slender, bent and twisted and its blossoms will be in the form of a cross two long and two short petals.

In the center of the outer edge of each petal there will be nail prints brown with rust and stained with red and in the center of the flower will be a crown of thorns, and all who see this will remember."

"What lies in the shadow of the statue?"

All I will say about this scene is Ilana & Co. = Widmore's team....my theory. After all..."There's a war coming, John."

How can anyone deny that LOST is the best show on television after last night's episode, Dead Is Dead?? My family tends to laugh at my obsession with this show and my son thinks I am a nerd because I blog about it every week. Do I care??? Nope. Then there's my husband who teases me about it, but he is a big "closet fan" so I know he loves to watch it as much as me....just like Top Model. Sorry honey...I called you out on that one.

Interestingly, Widmore from 1977 seems like a pretty nice guy. He and Ben actually have a fairly pleasant conversation. Of course, neither one of them have tried to kill any family members at this point, (that we know of) so that would only make sense. I wonder if Widmore does in fact let Ben stay with them for a while or if he will make him go back to Dharma. I think he will let him stay and that is why Ben doesn't remember the "Losties" being in Dharma.

Even as a kid, Ethan was a killer at heart. I wonder how he comes to be a member of The Others though. He looks about the same age as Ben did when he was shot. Maybe Sayid got hooked on the happy drugs from Oldham and was tripping out and shot Ethan too because he thought he was Ben. In any case, Ben showed us that he does, in fact, have a heart when he did not kill Danielle. However, if he really had a heart, he would have left the baby with her. It's interesting that we now know that Danielle was never crazy and everything she said was absolutely true. I was happy to see this side of Ben though because I have always been a Ben fan and hopeful that he is in fact a good guy.

Okay...who saw that one coming? I sure didn't. I figured Cesaer was going to be with us for a while. Maybe he is still alive and just injured after Ben shot him, but who knows. I didn't really like him anyway, and John didn't seem to like him, so if John didn't like him, I don't like him. lol!!

Forget kevlar. They need to start making body armor out of milk. I did panic a little when Ben shot Desmond and went after Penny. He was a man on a mission, that's for sure. Then, once again, he showed us his soft spot for kids and decided against it. Just in time for Desmond to do this....

Don't mess with Desmond, brotha. I miss Desmond. I hope he will be back in other episodes soon, which I'm pretty sure he will. Now that it seems Penny has been saved, I wonder what could possibly make him go back to the island though? My money's on Widmore.

Creepy smokey returns. The judgment of Ben was just awesome. For the first time, Ben really does not know what to do and is not in control. It is all in Locke's hands now. Somehow I think Ben is going to have a hard time giving up power to Locke though. Smokey/Alex may bring their wrath down on him yet. At least this episode showed Ben actually does have a heart where Alex is concerned. Is that the only good part of Ben??? We shall see.

This is one of the shots of the heiroglyphics in the smokey temple scene. You may have seen it. So, what does it mean?? Below is a very interesting theory I found. Once again, I must thank DarkUFO for the screencaps I post here. Next week's episode will have a lot to live up to after last night, but it will have Miles and Hurley in it, so at least it should be comical. Only 5 episodes left this season! My withdrawal symptoms are beginning to surface. :D

****************

Ammit

Other Names: Eater of the Dead, the Devourer.

Patron of: Destruction of the souls of the wicked.

Appearance: A demon with the head of crocodile, the torso of a leopard and the hindquarters of a hippopotamus.

Description: Ammit sits beneath the Scales of Justice before the throne of Osiris where she waits for the daily flow of souls to come before Osiris for judgement. During the Judging of the Heart, if the deeds of the soul being judged are found to be more wicked than good, Anubis feeds the soul to Ammit. This results in the total annihilation of the person, and there is no hope of further existence.
